Shriya Saran(born 11 September 1982) is an Indian actress and model, who has become major sex symbol within the film industry. She was born in Dhradun and spend most of her childhood in Haridwar. Her father's name Pushpendra Soran and mother Neeraja Soran. Her father worked for BHEL and mother was a teacher. She has acted in Telugu, Tamil Malayalam and Hindi language films,as well as a few films in English and Kannada. Shriya made her film debut in 2001 with the Telugu film Ishtam and had her first commercial success with Santhosham (2002).
