Samantha Ruth Prabhu (born 29 April 1987) is an Indian actress and model, who acts in Telugu and Tamil films. She was born to a Telugu father and a Malayali mother and was brought up in a typical middle class household in the Chennai, Tamilnadu. Samantha raised in Chennai and pursued a career in modeling during her late teen. Her first released Telugu film was Ye Maaya Chesave.
